EVERESSE and Ultraformer MPT were featured in The Kit (CA) as two skin longevity-minded innovations. Below is an excerpt from "Skin Longevity" is The New Buzzword Changing How We See Aging, written by Ingrie Williams.

“Anti-aging” has long dominated the skincare conversation, with serums and night creams promising to erase lines and turn back the clock. But now, following in the wellness industry’s footsteps, beauty is turning to the idea of longevity to reshape how we care for and talk about our skin as we age. It’s a shift we’re seeing in the latest innovations in both at-home formulas and in-office treatments.

So what’s the difference? Well, unlike anti-aging, the founding principles of skin longevity are to embrace yourself where you are, appreciate where you’ve been and set your sights on where you’re going.

“Longevity isn’t about erasing fine lines and wrinkles,” says Jennifer Brodeur. “It’s about viewing yourself differently and asking, ‘What do I want my skin to look like in 10 years, and what do I need to do today to get there?’”

Longevity-minded innovations from South Korea are taking over the chat as the second wave of K-beauty makes its way to North America.

“We’ll continue to see more emphasis on advanced treatments that focus on skin health, including laser therapies, peptides and DNA repair technologies, rather than relying only on injectables, fillers or other quick fixes,” says Erica Fung, managing spa director at 30 Hazelton, a new spa bringing Korean innovation to Toronto’s Yorkville. One such innovation is treatment stacking, where two modalities can be paired together to powerfully treat a concern.

Fung likes to stack a session of Ultraformer MPT with Everesse for what she calls the ultimate face lift without surgery. The first step involves a High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) device, for non-surgical skin tightening. “By switching handpieces, we can target multiple depths of the skin, from superficial layers to deeper structural ones, helping to tighten, lift and contour areas like the jawline.” The second step uses thermal radiofrequency (RF) technology combined with heat to stimulate collagen production. “Also known in Korea as Volnewmer, it results in visible lifting and plumping right away, with continued improvement over the next three months.”
