Nazanin Saedi, MD
Senior Medical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Nazanin Saedi is the Director of Jefferson Laser Surgery and Cosmetic Center. She is a board certified and fellowship trained dermatologist specializing in dermatologic surgery and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Saedi graduated cum laude from Princeton University, and then graduated with distinction and AOA honors from the George Washington University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of California, where she served as the Chief Resident. Dr. Saedi completed a fellowship with SkinCare Physicians in cosmetic, laser, and dermatologic surgery.

In addition to her role as Director, she is currently an Associate Professor of Dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University. She lectures internationally and nationally on topics regarding laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery(ASDS), and the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine(ASLMS). She has served as chair of several ASLMS committees and served as the Annual Meeting Chair for ASLMS 2017. Dr. Saedi in active in many clinical trials and has authored over 60 articles and book chapters.



John Jennings, Jr., MD
Medical Advisory Board Member

Dr. John Jennings has been in practice for more than 35 years and is currently the Medical Director at Goldsboro Skin Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.  Dr. Jennings has earned the coveted title of Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and the National Board of Examiners, as well as Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, the International Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the National Psoriasis Foundation.

He is an honors graduate of Old Dominion University and was President of his graduating class at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. He completed his internship at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, and his dermatology residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center in San Diego, CA. He served as the Chief of Dermatology at the Naval Hospital in Camp Lejeune, NC, before coming to Goldsboro, N.C. in 1985.



Adam Bodian, MD
Medical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Adam B. Bodian is a nationally-known dermatologist who, along with his father Dr. Eugene Bodian, established Bodian Dermatology & Medical Day Spa to provide comprehensive skin care to patients from Long Island, Queens, Manhattan, and nearby areas. Dr. Bodian is regarded by his peers and patients for his state-of-the-art treatments and compassionate, patient-focused care. Dr. Bodian serves as a clinical attending physician in dermatology at the North Shore University Hospital and at the Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens. He is a board certified laser surgeon, active member of top medical societies including the American Academy of Dermatology, American Board of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and American Medical Association. Dr. Bodin also serves on the board of directors for the North Shore University Hospital Independent Practice Association, the Noah Worcester Dermatological Society and the International Dermatologic Radiotherapy Society.

After receiving his medical degree from the Sackler School of Medicine, Dr. Bodian completed an internship and a two-year research fellowship in dermatology at Columbia University. He then went on to complete a residency at New York University where studied he dermatology, laser surgery, and cosmetic surgery.



Richard Ambrozic, MD
Medical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Richard Ambrozic was born and raised in Canada from Slovenian parents and attended medical school at the University of Alberta. He did a residency in Family and Preventative Medicine at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He then moved to the US and worked first in private practice and then as assistant ER Director for Tift Regional and South Georgia Medical Center. His interests then turned to lasers and esthetics where he completed a fellowship in Aesthetic medicine from the University of Southern Florida. He has trained under many renowned physicians like doctors Jeffrey Klein, Dr. Jose Almeida, Dr. Edward Mackay, and Dr. Harold Bafitis to name a few. He currently has 4 offices in southern Georgia and Atlanta. He is a member of numerous medical societies including the AMA, American College of Phlebology, and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is an associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians. He is a lifetime member of the Harvard Medical School Postgraduate Society. He loves to teach and interact with his patients and peers as well as music, movies, art, sports and travel. 



Michelle Barnes, MD
Medical Advisory Board Member

Dr. Michelle Barnes is the Medical Director for Dermacare Brickell Laser Rejuvenation and Anti-Aging Center of South Florida and has dedicated the last 9 years of her career to aesthetic medicine. Dr. Barnes is board certified in Internal Medicine and Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. She specializes in aesthetic anti-aging rejuvenation and bio-identical hormone therapy. Known for her talent and artistic skill with facial cosmetic injectables, Dr. Barnes believes in helping her patients to look and feel their best by creating a beautiful, youthful, yet natural looking appearance. 

Dr. Barnes received her Medical Degree from the Medical School at the University of Miami, and completed her post-doctoral training and residency program in Internal Medicine at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami.



David Herschthal, MD  &  Jordana Herschthal, MD

Dr. David H. Herschthal brings more than 36 years of dermatology experience to the Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale area. He is a board certified dermatologist specializing in aesthetic dermatology, skin cancer, cosmetic surgery and laser surgery at The Herschthal Practice in Boca Raton, and Tamarac/Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. David established the practice -- then known as the Dermatology & Cosmetic Laser Centre -- in 1980. He has since joined forces with his daughter and board certified dermatologist, Dr. Jordana Herschthal, serving patients in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale area.    

Prior to the founding of his Boca Raton-based practice, Dr. David completed his BS degree at City University of New York-Brooklyn College, MD degree at New York Medical College; Internship at the University of Southern California Los Angeles and Dermatology residency at University of Miami Mount Sinai Hospitals, Miami Beach, Florida.

Dr. Jordana Herschthal is a board-certified dermatologist, and a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. In addition to general dermatology, she is an expert in cosmetic treatments, dermal fillers, laser procedures, dermatologic surgery, and skin cancer management, including Mohs surgery. Prior to joining the practice, Dr. Herschthal completed her BA degree from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, her Medical degree from the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, her Medical internship at Columbia University’s St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital in Manhattan, New York and her Dermatology residency at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami (where she earned the Excellence in Dermatologic Surgery Award).

Elizabeth Whitaker, MD, FACS

Dr. Whitaker is a certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the American Board of Otolaryngology. She has been recognized on many top-doctors lists including America’s Top Plastic Surgeons, Atlanta’s Top Plastic Surgeons and Best Facial Plastic Surgeon in Atlanta. She brings to her patients unparalleled experience having performed over 4,000 facelifts and thousands of other facial procedures. 

Dr. Whitaker received her Medical Degree from Duke Universit then went on to complete an internship in general surgery and a residency in head and neck surgery at Emory University. After residency, Dr. Whitaker completed an additional year of advanced fellowship training at Tulane University focused exclusively on Facial Plastic Surgery – an honor offered to only 38 candidates national-wide a year. She served as the first Chief of Facial Plastic Surgery at Medical College of Georgia.  In her current practice at Atlanta Face and Body, she combines artistry and technical skill to give her patients natural looking beauty.



Joseph Caruso
Strategic Advisory Board Member

Joseph has over thirty years of broad executive management experience including over a decade as a CEO and Chairman of the Board of a publicly traded medical device company, Palomar Medical Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ; PMTI). He has a broad operational, financial, administrative, and general management experience with public and private companies including an extensive business development, mergers and acquisition, accounting, financing, investor relations and strategic partnership experience. Palomar merged with Cynosure (NASDAQ:CYNO) for $300M in 2013 to create the premier laser aesthetic company in the space. The combined company has direct offices in nine countries and sells into 100 countries. Joe joined Palomar in 1991 as one of 6 members of the founding management team and grew revenues from start up to over $100M.

Joseph is currently a member of Launchpad Venture Group, a Boston-based angel investment group providing funding and advice to early-stage companies focusing on innovative, technology-driven companies.
