Live Oak Med Spa is owned and operated by Dr. Sherrie G. Cass, DNP, FNP-C, a Georgetown graduate and nurse injector with over 30 years of experience. Live Oak Med Spa was one of the first practices in North America to onboard the EVERESSE technology, which has become a great summertime treatment for those living or vacationing in this coastal town.
In this exclusive interview with Dr. Sherrie G. Cass, DNP, we learn more about her philosophy, why she chose EVERESSE, and the drivers of her success.
Q: Thank you for taking the time to chat with us. Can you tell us a bit more about your practice?
SGC: At Live Oak Med Spa, our philosophy is centered on enhancing natural beauty through personalized, evidence-based aesthetic therapies. We believe aesthetics should refresh, restore, and elevate confidence. Our approach focuses on subtle, balanced results that age gracefully and prioritize overall wellness, skin health, and authenticity.

Q: What is the range of services offered at Live Oak Med Spa?
SGC: Offering a full complement of aesthetic, wellness, and regenerative services, we provide advanced, personalized treatments designed to help patients look and feel their best at every age. Services include injectables and dermal fillers, regenerative therapies, laser and energy-based treatments, medical-grade skincare, skin rejuvenation, body contouring, hormone optimization, wellness therapies, and customized facial treatments — all delivered with a patient-centered approach focused on natural, confidence-enhancing results.
Q: When and why did you add the EVERESSE device to your practice?
SGC: We purchased the EVERESSE in September 2024 and launched the device in January 2025. Live Oak Med Spa was among the first in the country to introduce this technology to our patients. We were specifically seeking an alternative to traditional HA dermal fillers — one that focused on lifting, tightening, and improving skin quality while delivering natural-looking results.
What I was most impressed by with EVERESSE is that it delivers both immediate and progressive skin tightening results without discomfort or downtime. With no pre-treatment preparation or post-care restrictions, it is a convenient, non-invasive option for patients seeking natural-looking rejuvenation. Unlike many aesthetic treatments, EVERESS is also sun-safe and summer-safe, allowing patients to maintain their normal activities while achieving firmer, refreshed skin.
Q: Running your practice in a beach town, how important was the sun/summer-safe element of EVERESSE for you?
SGC: Our patients lead active, outdoor lifestyles filled with golf, tennis, pickleball, boating, and beach days. Many are busy professionals or active retirees who want effective aesthetic treatments that deliver results without downtime or disruption to their daily lives. EVERESSE meets those needs perfectly — without the recovery time or lifestyle restrictions associated with more aggressive procedures.
Q: Are there any trends you’re seeing in your market that EVERESSE aligns with?
SGC: One of the biggest trends we are seeing is a shift away from excessive filler and toward more natural-looking rejuvenation. A common rule of thumb has traditionally been one syringe of HA filler per decade of life, but many patients simply do not want that much product placed in their face. Fillers are also expensive and temporary, typically lasting only 6–18 months. By restoring structural support and collagen stimulation with EVERESSE, we can often achieve a more refreshed, natural appearance with less filler — using volume replacement strategically afterward only when truly needed.
Q: How would you describe the patient experience with EVERESSE?
SGC: The patient experience with EVERESSE has been overwhelmingly positive, with most patients describing the treatment as comfortable and easy to tolerate. One of the most important parts of the process is capturing excellent before and immediately-after photos, as patients are often surprised by the visible improvement they see right away. The ability to achieve noticeable results without discomfort or downtime has generated tremendous excitement and positive feedback from our patients.
One of the biggest mistakes in aesthetics is overpromising and underdelivering. We believe in offering treatments that realistically meet patient expectations while fitting seamlessly into their lifestyles — and EVERESSE consistently does exactly that.
Q: What about your experience as a provider?
SGC: The treatment is easy to perform, safe, and well tolerated by patients, making it a seamless addition to our practice. Its simplicity, consistency, and ability to deliver visible results without downtime create a rewarding experience for both the provider and the patient.
Q: What are some of your favorite areas to treat with EVERESSE?
SGC: My favorite areas to treat are the lower face, jawline, neck, and brow area because these regions often show some of the earliest and most noticeable signs of aging. Patients love the visible tightening, improved definition, and subtle eyebrow lift that can be achieved.
Q: Are there any patient populations with which you see particularly good results?
SGC: We have seen particularly strong results in patients in their 40s through 60s, especially those who have consistently taken care of their skin and used medical-grade skincare prior to treatment. These patients often have better skin quality and collagen support, allowing EVERESSE to deliver even more noticeable results while maintaining a natural appearance.
Q: Are you using EVERESSE in combination with any other treatments or services?

As a smaller practice serving a relatively small coastal community, our success with the platform speaks to both patient demand and treatment satisfaction.
